There is a reason I don’t name apps for a living.

Labrinth is the stage name of Timothy McKenzie (according to Wikipideia), he’s a producer and performer of some note with the youth. I like to think that if he had been about in the 80′s his stage name might have been Timmy Kenzo or something.

I met up with him at the filming of the Spotify iPad App announcement in Angel Studios, seemed like a nice, and obviously musically knowledgable chap.

Didn’t have long to shoot him as he was being interviewed all the time (a necessary  inconvenience) but I shot some reportagé stuff while he was being filmed too.

Not a great story, but after I’d met him (and became one of the many referring to him simply as ‘Lab’) I thought I’d buy his Electronic Earth album and, in honesty, not my cup of tea!

It’s a shame, I wanted to like it because I liked him. I’m just not his target market. I’m not going to write him off though, he’s obviously in it for the long game and is pretty diverse and this is a lot of fun.
